As you said KB, the fool had the sun in his face so I couldn’t see if the one on the truck had stripes or not. I’m sure I’m in the minority of those that did not get stripes. So far everything on schedule according to dealer for Monday delivery!

The YT'ers don't shoot with the sun at their back because if the sun is low enough, it puts their shadow in the footage. Problem is, they don't know that this issue can be solved and instead, shoot INTO the sun so no one can see anything. It's a very common problem I see all the time.

Personal cloaking device? Use two suns? How do you avoid your shadow in the picture other than the obvious of standing to the side?

Hoosier: First, don't film when the sun is low on the horizon.

Secondly, use the proper lens that will allow you to get in close without getting in close and this keeps the shadow out.

Third, if you film in the correct range of angles to the sun, you won't see the shadow.

No cloaking device required. :-)
