I'm going to get a small square of carbon fiber, tool up one of the CNC mills at work and make a shaped cover to go over those exposed cup holders. Nobody will have an open beverage in the car anyway, and it will be removable if I ever want it to be.
No open beverages in the car, huh? That could get difficult, especially if you're taking the car on a long-range drive. I drive my Mustang from NYC to Miami and back a couple of times a year, and I can't really imagine doing that without having drinks in the car...

It won't be a press fit so I'll still be able to use them if needed, but as a general rule no open beverages. I don't want to have to go back to prison for what I'd do if someone spilled Coke on my Recaros...

perhaps don't let people that would drop anything in a car, in your car.
