Hi my 2020 GT did not come with active exhaust. My question is if I buy the mufflers, can I remove the valves so that they are open all of the time? I know people say there is a significant difference in normal vs track mode but I honestly don’t think it is that drastic from all of the YouTube videos I’ve heard.

Debating if its even worth the hassle.

There's a huge difference between normal and track modes. I think they could be propped open on a non active car fairly easily.

If you bought the mufflers, I think it would be easier and less work, to just lock the valves wide open than to remove them. They are essentially just a butterfly valve like in your throttle body and when wide open create very little flow resistance.

All you want is a loud exhaust. Why are you considering buying AE mufflers?

if you want the active exhaust to start up in a certain position each time, you can try what this other M6G member did in Post #565 - and according to him it worked:

^ This. Buy a system that you don't need to monkey with.

I think the oem exhaust sounds good. Not too loud for daily driving.

You know nothing about it. You've said all you know about AE is YouTube videos.

It's loud enough in Track mode to be illegal on the street.

Compared to the AE in the R it’s not that drastic, if it was I would be able to clearly hear a difference correct? Even on video

Track mode is loud as hell under load when you tromp on the gas (youtube videos don't show this). I don't think you'll get any negative attention from the local law enforcers if you can control your right foot.
