We would like to thank all of our sponsors for helping us put the coyote in the 6 second zone. Manley Products, Garrett Turbo chargers, Turbo Smart, Pro Torque and all of the others that have helped us, this Record is for Yukio Taira of Garrett turbo chargers who suffered a stroke while on board a flight to an event, we wish him a speedy recovery.
Back to the passes :
Team mmr breaks the 6 second barrier with the coyote engine running a 6.75 in Sonoma, CA!!
It was a tough weekend however and the team struggled with new engine blues all weekend, the 6.75 was made on the first pass on sunday morning but lady luck had us chasing our tail with tire spin at the 1-2 shift that the team could not work through, the 6.75 run was made when the car blew the boost tube off loosing all boost at 4.8 seconds into the run!!! Somehow she still coasted through with a 6.75 @ only 187!! The 1/8 mile timer showed its true potential on that run with a 4.3 @ 176 mph (ran 177 on saturday), unfortunately we could not duplicate it the rest of the weekend, oh well, next time , 6.40's here we come!!
