Anyone have issues with having Foose 1/4 louvers to hold on windows? I tried the supplied Velcro strips also 3m molding tape + Gorrila double sided tape and no luck. Any advise would help.... was maybe thinking of some kind of silicone but not sure

Yeah cleaned with rubbing alcohol + adhesive promoter but only had it set for 24hrs each try. It's my daily driver so can't let it set in garage for 3 days Figured 24hrs was plenty of time to set. Not sure what do to? Would hate not to be able to use them cause they look great on the car but don't want them to fly off when on the road.

My advice is to use Marine Sealant.

This is the only product that kept my qt window louvers on.

You can leave the tape but make sure to add the sealant wherever there's no tape. A full bead of sealant at the edge works wonders.

Sweet, thanks offcamber. So i won't have any issues with sealant if i apply it over the 3M tape??

Don't apply over the tape but around the edges of the louver/scoop.
Leave the tape and use it in addition to the sealant. I have a friend who used Scotch Dual Lock tape and the 3M tape and his are still holding.

The fool-proof method for the semi-permanent install is applying the sealant wherever it can come into contact with the glass and louver in addition to any tape.

I guess you can completely remove the tape from the louver (big pain in the rear) and then apply sealant where the tape used to be. That would work too.

I had a scoop fly off when just using the 3M tape. Tried Scotch Dual Lock which was better but finally added the sealant to anchor it down. The sealant dries quickly. Give it 12hrs and you can drive without worry.

Best of luck!
