Please share your experience and impressions. I'm choosing between these two as well and getting perspective from somebody who tried both would be very helpful. Are you planning to use them on the street or is this a pure track day set?
These will go on my track car. It’ll get driven on the street occasionally but mostly just various racetracks.

Tire Rack and the manufacturers disagree with your TW numbers. Please look them up. I did earlier in this thread.

Edit: you could be right that someone could go with the cheaper SC3 and change them more often and come out ahead. I haven't tried the SC3s yet, but I need tires this spring..
I did look up the Cup 2R TW rating (140 as I had indicated):

I'm not sure where you think I'm wrong.

OK, so, final answer is that I ordered a pair of 305/35ZR19 Pilot Super Sports for my rear axle. ($337 each from Discount Tire after 10% military discount.) I will use the Sport Cup 2s on track wheels. I'm doing this instead of using the SC2s on the street because I went back to my original goal, which was to improve wet traction and predictability versus the Nitto NT555G2s I have now.

I didn't go with 295/35 square PS4S because I found another post where people considered doing that and the 295 PS4S was really stretched on an 11" wide wheel: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...mance-track-handling-pack.158762/post-3255650

The next time I need to replace the tires I'll put 305/30 PS4S all around.

It sucks that Michelin doesn't make the PS4S in 305/35 for our cars.

I had a 295/35/19 on a 11" wheel, it didn't look that different than my 305s. Then again the 295s. were Conti SCE not Mich PSS like they are now.

In case anyone is interested in Tire trst between PS4S, SC3, CUP 2, SC3R and R888R:
Very informative.
One thing you have to remember treadwear ratings between manufacturers are meaningless. You have to compare with the same brand.

It's still one of the very interesting tests with some good data points and direct comparison between the tires discussed here on a car that is pretty similar to mustang. And in my opinion, TW progression in this test actually makes sense.

I'm not sure where you think I'm wrong.
If you look up the 350R specific Cup 2 tire it will say 180. You just have to do a search by vehicle to get the correct information. I'm not sure what vehicles those other Cup 2 tires are for.

To me only when kept between the Michelin tires, from Goodyear and the other manufacturers you really can't compare them. My Michelin tires with their 300 rating on TW wore a lot better than my Conti SCE with a 340 rating.

Dude, I said the Cup 2 tires are 180 TW now THREE times (including this one). What can't you understand about that? I said the Cup 2R is 140. Sheesh - you're making this way more complicated than it is.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, the video I posted is about performance with clear lap times and handling assessment. How is it related to wear and Contis at all? I think it's pretty obvious that PS4S would be longest lasting out of this bunch.

I was actually responding to Hack not just the video. Sorry for the confusion.

That's a good, detailed review. I'm surprised how slow the R888R were, barely faster than the PS4S, and they didn't handle well either. He certainly didn't like the PS4S; he seemed to really like the Goodyears compared to the Michelins.

the handling of the Supercar is 'immediate'. The PS4S isn't as vague or squirmy as the Conti's but its definitely different.
