Sorry if this is out there, but I cannot seem to find a thread that has min and max offset with wheel sizes on one table...does anyone know if this exists, or where I can find one?

From what I have been able to tell from successful upgrades:

FRONT: 19 or 20 x 9, 9.5 or 10 offset:25-45 (Front)

REAR: 19 or 20 x 9.5, 10, 10.5, 11 offset:40-50 (Rear)

Based on the range in the from I would think the rear maybe able to get to an offset of 20 - 50, but would love one of the experts to weigh in...

I was board yesterday...so I have added several variations of 19's & 20's with 265's & 275's & 305's & 315's...I hope you find some of this helpful:

My NON-Proven or scientific approach...I am NOT a tire guy, but am trying to figure what I want...

I am also interested in validation of the min/max offsets. I am planning to go to a squared setup with 19 x 10 wheels (40 offset) and 275/40-19 on the four corners. I want to be sure I am not compromising handling with this setup.

The current fitments I have done have been on the following vehicles

Vehicle number 1

S550 GT base Non PP

20x9 ET 25
20x10 Et 40

Vehicle # 2

S550 Non PP

20x10 ET 40

Now from the research I have done on a daily bases shows that fitment really changes based on the wheels since every wheel brand and line may possibly have a different offset fitment and width.

However general fitment I have seen as a common fitment frame has been the following

20x8.5 to 20x9 varies from ET 25-35 ( PP or non PP)
20x10 to 20x10.5 ET 40-45 ( PP or non PP)

Now in the case of the fitment of your fitment specs

the 19x10 would be in the range of ET 35-40
the 11" rear would have a higher offset towards ET 48-52

this is from my research however in most cases the Manufacturer has more indepth specs then I do from my research.

As for the 19" wheel options this changes drastically for the PP and non PP due to the amount of inner barrel clearance needed.

The PP factory wheels have a 18" inner barrel clearance, from my measurements you need a minimum of 17.5" to clear the calipers.

The reason why a vast amount of the wheels in 19" dont work is because as a cast wheel they have a inner lip that is stationed further back towards the rear of the barrel. So for the PP the only real proper options are Flow Forged/Formed or Fully Forged wheels because they are created without the inner barrel lip which allows for the clearance.

Non PP vehicles dont have to worry about that so they can fit 19" wheels easily and thus have a larger options to choose from.

Now John in your case for the CF5V wheels the inner clearance is shown to work since they are "high disk" barrel, so the main issue that arises is the backface clearance to the face of the 6 pot calipers.

However through some in house research I have concluded that even though the S550 calipers are now 6 piston compared to the S197 calipers which were 4 piston, the face of the caliper in conjunction with the hub of the vehicle is not sticking out as much as the S197 so it should allow for the proper clearance using the Et40 which I spoke to Steve at Forgestar about, just going to triple check that for you Monday as I promised.

You can modify the upper rear shock mount and fit 11.5-12" rims and 335/345's

It sounds like the CF5V 19x10 will work then. I'll wait for positive confirmation when you are able to check with Forgestar on Monday. As discussed previously, I was going to go with a square setup with 275/40-19 tires. I have read one member's post that he was having some problems with tramlining with front tires larger than OEM tires. Voodoo posted the following: "I currently have a squared 20x10 wheels on my S197, with 295s on all fours. Suffice to say, the car handles like shit. So I am now going with 20x8s in the front with 255s tires." Your thoughts about my planned selection of the 275/40-19 tires? http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?p=416764#post416764

Ill get that confirmed for you.

I have read voodoos right up as well. The setup i believe is way too wide for the tire selection. However from personal experience and doing mutiple wide setups. A 275 is a good choice wrapped on the 29x10 wheels.

If we compare this for instance with the camaros i run a 20x10 and 20x11 275/315 and no issues with handeling or anything or for instance audis 20x11 275 or 285 tires and same no issues with handeling. So your good sir youll really enjoy the setup.

Paul, you are a rock star! Thanks, and it seems like there is no one answer and each wheel tire combo needs to be thought out. Still trying to see if there is a solution that's not custom, but for my 19 and 20 with staggered width goal, I'm thinking only custom.

You have peaked my curiosity, what would the offset be to fit the kind of meat? Also, if you did the same mod could you use say an 11 inch rim with a 18 off set to get a super deep concave. If there is a post on this that would be great.

I will have 19x9.5 w/275/35r19 & 19x11 w/305/35r19 in a couple weeks. They will be cfv5 forgestar. I will post pics and a review then.

Ill try and get all the specs, but I know this car has the factory 20's widened to 11.75"

My car I got the true forged 20" chicanes running 11.5" They should get in next week.

3.6 KB.... It's the setup I wanted to do, but he insisted to put a TT kit on my car(which as soon as mine is done the KB is coming off that car and a TT kit is being put on it.)

Rv-Junke - could you provide the location of the offset pictures? The fine print is too small to read on the 6G site or printed. Thanks!
