Getting ready to buy tires and would like to know what everyone's favorite tire for Street/Strip. My local track is an 80 mile round trip and typically less than a stellar track prep. For that reason I would like to error on the side of better traction at the track vs. street manners. I will be running a 17X10.5 Drag Star and have the full BMR suspension/springs and Crusader shocks. Guessing size 305/45 in the R or SS, or the only option in the Bias is 28X11.5. Thanks for the help!

If your a manual. Get the bias ply. If your auto. Get the "R" radials. Ive used the R. Very good tire.

The street R hooks like glue at the strip but I wouldn't want to drive very far on the street. They pick up every little grain of sand, do not like rain and would have a short lifespan for street use. I change mine at the track.

Get the R. My tracks are 180 and 114 mile round trips.

I have 3,300 miles on mine. Still look great and hook well too.

Your car looks like it could make a lot of torque. If you are not confident in the track prep, want to be able to launch hard w/ consistent results, and just want it to work, auto or manual go bias plys. Go bias ply on the front skinny too though.

Going to the track and having inconsistent results when trying to run a time can be slightly frustrating. Going to the track and jumping in the competition for $, and not having any consistency is just not worth it.
