I'm sure the folks down in South Boston/Danville would have liked having some 'heavy' industry back...

That said the deal makes no sense to me - Ford is saddled with physical plant (cheap tax writeoffs) but doesn't get a license or patent-sharing? Chinese management is going to run the place? The Chinese have for decades stolen intellectual property and polluted the snot out of their country. How about some payback?

I guess Ford really is broke, and licking the boots of the Chinese is their only hope. Sad and pathetic. USA is a vassal of China. Yay!

VA’s governor is a ………. And the voters, well its really on them. I’m sure these decisions by these officials doesn’t surprise anybody any more.
