So I will need a new set of tires to replace my Super Sports. I contacted Discount Tires. They know nothing of these tires.

Not surprising as the are not being released until 3/1. Who knows when they will actually be available in our sizes at a local dealer. Maybe give Tire Rack a call. They would be the first ones to get them.

If you actually read the article (as a couple of posters above did) this isn't really impactful or relevant news. I don't know anyone who runs the PS4.
I do, I do!

(Ordered 4S, shop got the wrong tires (no 'S' at the end), and I didn't notice it until I got home. Should have returned to the shop, but had a roadtrip planned the next day, and, oh well. :-/)

But most importantly will they be in the correct OEM sizes front and rear for the GT350, unlike the 4S?
Unfortunately Michelin has no plans for a PS4S in a 305/35/19. I am running a PS4S on the front and a PSS out back.

How hard is it to get the Pilot PS4S? I'm looking at them online for 255/40-19 (black accent pkg wheels) and it's out of stock everywhere...

Well you answered your own question. There are shortages everywhere. Check with a local dealer to see if they are available from Michelin. If they’re not, and they probably aren’t, you may need to look at Conti or Firestone.

Well looks like you’re going to be waiting awhile.

what's an alternative tire that's equivalent in performance for summer tires?

Continental DW, Firestone Indy 500 are some good alternatives imo.

Agreed. While the PS4S is considered the gold standard by many it's not the only high performance tire.

In no particular order. Every brand/model has it fans and detractors. You have to decide what's best for you.

Oh wow thanks! Are the continental DWS all seasons on par with the other summer tires? I over looked that one because I was specifically looking for a summer tire with the most grip.

Well for street driving there is little to gain with a pure summer tire. Unless you spend most of your time at places like Tail of the Dragon. Then every last drop counts. When I bough my last set I went with Michelin AS3+ as I found the Conti's a little too soft. If I were going with a set of all seasons today I would upgrade to the Michelin AS4's. It is a remarkable tire. People have used it on the track and actually reported excellent results. It all depends on what you and your pocketbook want/need.

Gotcha, thanks for the reply. I'm most likely leaning towards the Indy 500's as I've heard very good feedback from other SoCal drivers who have them
