I just installed the mgw shifter. When get it in high RPMs I hear a rattle, almost like a grinding sound.
Some other things I noticed, putting it into first, second, or reverse is kind of hard, just doesn't feel right. It isn't from the reverse lockout I had that thing all the way loose. I did go back under the car and noticed the arm that attaches to the transmission that has articulation, doesn't seem to "articulate" like it's locked in its spot.
Here's a quick video. Was too big to upload but here's a link from my Google photos. https://photos.app.goo.gl/v8NZ7CiqLPE58TEX6

I guess at this point I need to take it out and see if that arm will articulate and reinstall. Seeing If anyone else has run into these type issues, or could shed some insight to that chatter.

It should me smooth. It’s a little notchy initially. But after a lil bit no issue. Goes into gear fine.

Yeah I figured as much, just wondering why it chatters/grind when I get it up higher in rpm.

That definitely doesn't seem right. The MGW on my 350 has the most incredible shift action.

I’d pull it back out and adjust it and check clearances. Is it the tremec one and not the mt82 one

It's the GT350 gen2. Hopefully I'll find time tomorrow to yank it back out and take a look. Fingers crossed everything goes smooth

@Shaneflay - did removal/reinstall fix your issues? Looking to buy/install an MGW soon and this thread caught my interest.

Just contact George and he’ll know what’s up. Sounds like a possible user installation error IMO but I could be wrong.

Did you ever sort out the high RPM humming?
