I don't know if it's just bad luck or what but the rubber valve stems are not holding up to fast/hard driving and the body/assembly is leaking overnight making me air up the tire anytime I want to take her out. I see metal valve stems but I have zero clue what will work with our cars and TPMS sensors. Anyone else experience this and what did you buy?

I have tried many metal, shortly thin, flush etc over the years on my HREs and other big $$$ wheels.. end of the day a rubber stem is best. They hold up to the elements much better. If you have a slow leak.. I doubt its the stem.. check for small leaks or pop the wheel off and hose it down and look for bubbles.

A rubber stem does not hold up to high speeds and track driving. I have already verified it is indeed the rubber stem.

Will that work with our cars since the frequency is different? I don't mind replacing everything (stems + sensors), but I rather just change the stems and keep my existing sensors if I can. Thanks bud.

I'm pretty sure these are the stems that came with my oro-tek sensors. Probably worth an email/call to make sure.

For fast driving hard driving and or track you need metal stems brotha

The stems used on your setup didn't have the metal sleeve in it and a rubber coating on the outside ?

@daltron
Hey Paul, I had previously bought the TMPS sensors/stems when we put those wheels on. I actually remember you telling me they sucked at the time LOL.

My customer-supplied faulty parts lol!

So, what do you recommend?

No worries brotha, Well we could get you the steel stem ITM's I use at my shop and Ill provide them at cost. If you want I can even install them for you. That will solve the issue for you.

I'm reading that aluminum stems will fuse to the copper threads and degrade faster as well. Is this true?
