I had the utmost pleasure of meeting and speaking with one of the designers of the very first Ford Mustang. Mr. Jerry originally came up with several body designs and the logo colors that became the iconic red, white and blue bars behind the pony. I could have spoken with him for hours. Having owned several Mustangs over the years, I was like a kid at Christmas. How many people get to own their dream car, much less meet the designer of it. Owning a Mustang to me has ben the greatest gift. Although I have owned many other makes throughout the years none have brought me the pleasure the Mustang has. By far, my '15 has exceeded all my expectations and is in my opinion the best Mustang Ford has ever produced. To own one of the worlds most recognized and sought after vehicles on the planet is something very few will ever have the opportunity to say without having to shell out hundreds of thousands of dollars. I always feel like I am driving a Ferrari, Lamborghini or greater each time I get behind the wheel because of the attention Mustangs garner and respect. The only other car I dream of owning one day is the "Ford GT". Mr. Jerry it was truly a pleasure to speak with you.

Great story, thanks for posting it. I can remember being 14 and a few friends & myself took our first unescorted trip and it was to the 1964 worlds fair and for me the hit of the fair was the new Mustang. You really brought back some great memories. Thanks.

My first car was a new 1965 Mustang, the second, a new 1972 Mach I fastback. Now that I have retired...a new 2015. I guess that I have completed the circle by having three of the most iconic ponies ever sold.

Isn't that something. Some of our earliest memories are about cars. I can still remember riding in my fathers car when I was young and seeing the lights in the front or rear of a car at night and knowing what car it was. Also, 5 years after the worlds fair I bought my first car. It was a 66 Mustang coupe
with a 289 2 barrel and a 4 speed for a kid shipping out to Nam. First thing I did was change the carb then put dual exhaust on it. Still doing it 46 years later but now I'm doing it on new cars.

Lol...I was the same kid...didn't matter make or model I could tell by the lights. My first car was a 67 Indy Pacesetter special in Midnight Blue. 289 auto. Then a bright red 67 that had a 289 that was much more massaged. Then a 70 Mach 1 351C that got stolen. Then a 2005 V6 Premium 5 spd Vert. in red. Moved to the sticks, got a F150 to survive and a MX5 to play in.

Getting ready to pull the trigger on a GT Magnetic auto. Our first loves always seem to come home.

Congratulations! Sounds great! I'm sure you'll have a great time. You've got the time in to really appreciate how far the Pony has come.
