Meet "Belle", Team Beefcake Racing's 2015 Ford Mustang GT 5.0!
Born 10/21 and delivered to us on 10/27.

Straight from the dealership and with 14 miles on the odometer we strapped her down to the Team Beefcake Racing / Finish Line Performance dyno!

We did a couple quick pulls just to "blow her out", then let her cool for about 30 minutes with a final pull.

This is an auto car with factory 3.55 gear option. Dynoing in 4th gear, the car put down 359rwhp and 345 ft/lbs of torque.

We put together a fun little video to show the car being unloaded from the trailer to being put on the dyno with a couple of pulls!

Congrats! What all is the plan for this one? Like your past Mustangs? Or not quite as extreme?

Something to keep in mind..

Since it had the factory fuel in it more than likely it was 87 Octane, thus that could account for some of the low numbers

Also, IIRC the loss with this transmission isn't 20%? It seems like the dyno loss has been closer to 15% in the 2011-14s

IRS take a little more away than SLA, so 20% is about right.

this auto is a huge trans, we rebuild them all the time, I would not doubt a 20% loss at all

add in the IRS, and again, at least imo. Not to mention, our dyno is greedy

IRS take a little more away than SLA, so 20% is about right.
yep

our other auto car dyno'd similar years ago and it ran 8.7's through the factory auto. we worry about track times, we only use before and afters for a parts comparison

Numbers are low because the pull(s) were done in 4th gear. These cars should be on the dyno in 5th to get the correct ratio. 4th gear pulls result in skewed numbers high or low.

the auto trans drivetrain is about a 20% loss.

there is no way to know 100% without an engine dyno and chassis dyno back to back

have you been inside one of these transmissions?? it's nothing but moving parts,

again, I could give a crap about dyno numbers, again, they are a baseline for comparison,

we race et's, not dynos, and we are fine with our stingy dyno

IRS will take away a few more ponies than SLA just due to the physics of it. Been there done that with my 2011 SS camaro that I had.

Watching this video I am reminded how much I love the way the exhaust on the 2015 sounds.

Thanks for the vid!
