Do you still own the MM&FF Mustang?
No. I sold it to a guy as the markets started to tank in 2008 who had followed the build in the magazine. He subsequently sold it to a guy who removed the rev limiter I had installed and split the block. No idea what became of the car. I do continue to use the related username.

I've owned 2 so far. First, the 03 Mach 1. Then, the 15 EB PP. My dad's first car was a 69 Mach 1 428 CJ. So, when the Mach 1 returned in 03, he had to get one. He passed away as I was graduating high school. When he got it, he added a plaque inside with his name and build date. Well, I'm a Jr, so it naturally made sense for my mom to give it to me when I was nearing the end of college. My brother expressed an interest in it about 5 years ago and after careful consideration, I sold it to him knowing he'd appreciate it maybe even more than me at this point. He still has it and it'll stay in the family until the wheels fall off. I lasted all of 3 months without a Mustang before getting the EB. I had that until about a month ago. I sold it in preparation for my 23 GT that I'll be taking delivery of in just over 2 weeks! What can I say, Mustangs are in my blood 🤷🏼‍♂️

I'd be interested in hearing what makes you say that. What about the older cars is less comfortable?
In a word, the seat. I had two friends at the time who also had Mach 1's and we took them to every major Mustang show in western Canada and the pacific northwest in the U.S. That was in the 80's when I was in my late 20's and after a few hours sitting in that car my back was done. It had the high back buckets with the red stripe inserts. Since then I had a 2011 Mustang and my current 2019, both of those cars have a much more comfortable seat, I never had another issue with my back after getting rid of the 69.

this is a great thread!

Most mustang dudes i know have been for a long time, owning multiple stangs through the years. Its cool seeing the different age members show their previous and or 1st mustang. If i only had more pics, my dads 67 gt, 71 mach 1, my older brothers 91 fox and then 2014 GT and my other younger brothers 66 coupe. we are a mustang family to say the least.

Very COol cars to all that posted already.

I can tell you why I feel comfort is better today then back then. Seats and body position. The seats back then were "flat" in comparison to today' standards and have a lot more support.

The cooler car part may be true, but I bet few people have a cleaner car than this.
This pic brought up a memory from when I was around 16 and I just got my first car that my parents bought (used 84 Dodge Daytona), my dad said "son, you'll probably never have the most expensive car on the road, but nothing is stopping you from having the cleanest one". This is probably why all my cars have been spotless regardless of how cool they were / are.

That's an easy fix.

Just saying that older cars aren't necessarily less comfortable, with how much they can be modified to fit their owners.

Man… I’ve had a few from the age of 16 to 31.

00 V6 Mustang. Bought it wrecked for $2k, had some body work and paint done. By the end I had done cam, LT headers, upper and lower intake manifolds, 4.10s, and it was making ~240whp when done and kept up with 99-04 GTs. Surprised a lot of people.

99 Cobra with SRA swap, 4.10s, subframe connectors, intake, HR Supersport springs, exhaust, etc.

96 Mystic Cobra with a Vortech blower, 3.73s, and exhaust.

06 GT with cams, LT headers, 4.10s, intake, etc.

11 GT with intake, exhaust, and minor suspension mods

16 GT with intake, exhaust, tune, GT350 rear valance with Magnaflow GT350 active exhaust retrofit

22 GT performance package with Magneride, active exhaust, and the tech pack. Not sure where I want to go with this. Haven’t even had it long enough to wash it for the first time since I got it a day before this fun ice storm hit central Texas

Started my journey with the New Edge's back in 2001. First was a '01 V6, but can't seem to find any photos. Going over the color choices it's clear I have a "type"...

'02 GT. True Blue. Exhaust, intake, minor mods.

'15 GT Performance Pack. Deep Impact Blue. Exhaust and other minor mods. Got this not too long after joining this site!

'17 GT Performance Pack. Lightning Blue. Exhaust, intake, suspension, and had a Roush Phase 1 SC.

Here's some pics of other Mustangs that I've owned over the years. All foxbody's. I still own the red vert, as I bought it new and can't sell it. It shares the garage with my S550.
