Now available only from Lethal Performance is the McLeod RXT and RXT1200 clutch kit for the Shelby GT350 and GT350R! These clutches are 5.2L Voodoo specific and come balanced for proper harmonics with the flat plane crankshaft.

Lethal Performance and McLeod Racing teamed up to bring these beauties to life, the RXT and RXT 1200. The RXT is capable of handling 1000hp, as the RXT 1200 is capable of handle up to 1200hp. Both units deliver a near stock like drivability.

These kits come complete with aluminum flywheel, two ceramic lined clutch discs and heavy duty pressure plate. They are built at factory height so they work with all of the OEM clutch linkages and hydraulic components. Even being a twin disc clutch, this assembly weighs the same as the OEM single disc clutch and flywheel.

IMHO I would be really cautious in replacing the Dual Mass OEM flywheel cause FPC balance and vibration issues. Doesn't the GT350 already come with a dual disc clutch stock??

Yes we're running the Mcleod unit in our car. Just waiting for it to cool down before we take it to the track. It's still hot and humid down here.

The stock GT350 clutch is indeed a dual disc setup however ours failed on us our first trip to the drag strip. So instead of replacing it with another stocker we worked with McLeod to develop an RXT for the car which they did a phenomenal job on. Their unit was designed to weigh the same as the stock one to keep things somewhat OEM.

This way when we hit the drag strip again we won't be wasting our time knowing that the stock unit can go at any time.

I was thinking the same thing.. ford performance invested millions to get it perfectly right

Your thinking the sprung RXT clutch for the S197 GT500. The GT350 is un-sprung from the factory see pic from the article showing Lethal swapping the clutch. Stock clutch on the left Mcleod on the bottom right.

The Mcleod is set and sealed by them your not to mess with it so you won't see a pic of the clutch pack out in the open.You only separate the flywheel from the clutch pack assembly during the install retorque the 6 bolts to 35ft lbs. Not the dual disc clutch pack assembly itself never open or separate it.

The RXT for the GT350 follows the factory in that its unsprung.
Factory has a steel flywheel Mcleod has an aluminum flywheel.

Thanks for the info. I reason why I asked was exactly because of my S197 GT500 experience. I replaced the clutch in my 2010 GT500 with their RXT unit that was unsprung and it made a lot of chatter at low RPM. Then they finally came out with a sprung unit. Wasn't sure if the NVR properties of the GT350 would cause a good bit of chatter.
