ecoboost, 180F when driving normal - Sometimes on full throttle it drops below 180F and I lose the LC icon. when in Idle it does go up to around 205F then settles around that temp. This is on a 80 ish-95F ambient temperature outside. If I don't move at all or do city stop and go driving, I usually get to 215F.
These are basically the same temps I see with my 2018 Ecoboost PP.

I think he's referring to an aftermarket cover to protect the front end from rock chips and such. Also known as a bra..........

Yes, I’m also still on the original coolant.

I have the same gauge selected on my EB dash…but how can you tell what the temp is with no markings on the gauge? Is there a different screen to get the actual number?
Thanks…

The highest I’ve seen on my EB is 218°. Turn on the A/C, which runs the fans, and it immediately drops 20° or more.
Actually running the heater acts like another radiator and reduce Temps more effectively instead of waiting on the fans. Its an old standby for when your radiator or thermostat fails

Press the down arrow when on the gauge screen and digital temp is displayed.

True, but I was merely commenting that the temps are lowered running A/C as the fans run. In an emergency, like an actual overheat situation, running the heat would help.

So what’s the max cylinder head ? How do you know when to park ?
I’m just cruising but it’s 90 degrees out and sunny. My cylinder head temp was in the 220s. Pro charger stage 2 it has the larger inter cooler. So is 240 the max ? I was just doing city driving

I can’t say for sure, but I imagine that when you turn on the A/C, that may override the grille shutters as well, which may also account for the drop in my Ecoboost.

95-97c should be the normal operating range for our cars or at least that's what I have on mine. On track the highest i seen is 116c (241f) but this was in a very hot 30c day (86f). 98/99 even 105c is something I seen on street when pushing on a mountain road.
