May be right
general observation. singer designed 911's and pretty much everything with a retarded attention to detail starts around there. having built cars i fully understand why it costs that much. a lot of the stuff people complain about on cars these days comes from a place of just not understanding what goes into these things.

Just wanted to comment on that view! Jesus!!

Ok carry on now
Yea, I know. The trim work is horrible. I've been after the wife to get some blinds for the windows. She even has my credit card. Sheesh.

That’s also known as solvent pop. What your seeing is very minor. I completely get the concern on a car like you purchased. There’s some pretty simple ways to correct that but I wouldn’t attempt it if your not pretty experienced. It’a really simple if you are. Back in the early 90’s BASF put out some speed clears that literally had it so bad you could see full bubbles in the top coat.
You should see the hood and fenders on my '22 500.. worst factory paint I've ever had.

Can you post a few photos. Have a 2022 GT on order and want to know what to expect as "normal" paint quality control. Thanks

Should be perfect for a Ford of that price
You say 6 figure Fords should be perfect. It occurs to me that the odds the cutoff would be exactly 100,000 is slim. What is the exact price under which imperfection is okay. And is it the same figure for every brand/model? TIA

I would say no. The spots/clear coat dimples appear to be factory. At first I though maybe the rim had been dropped on the ground and they were chips/indentions from hitting the pavement but the dimples are smooth and not rough like it’s damage from dropping the rim.
It’s purely cosmetic so really no concern from a safety issue.
If it was a respray, I imagine they would have not left the imperfections out the door. It’s an easy fix and if one was fixing damage, one would have not let these imperfections go.
In a mas-production setting, being cosmetic only, I could see it making it out the door which is what happened here.

No, I was there when the car came off the hauler. The car had repairs done at the plant (as many do unbeknownst to owners).
