This is awesome. I have the regular Roush Axlebacks, but I'm thinking about putting a valve like that in the main pipe. Just "crack" it open at startup so as to avoid waking neighbors up at o'dark thirty, then once I'm out on the freeway, let her breathe!

I'll need to find a 2.5" butterfly valve and so on, but this alone showed me how much quieter it can be.

BTW, I see the Veteran tags...Thank you for your service! :flag:

I like this idea, did you ever get around to do it? I'm kinda worried that fully closing the valves on a dual tip system might not be the best idea; but I'm kinda new to experimenting with cars. I don't know if I'm picturing the same thing as you, though

Btw, thanks for the video ponie1992

I have the Roush active exhaust ready but the kit was like $1600.00 and i`m tapped out for mods this year. Yesterday installed some Badlanz exhaust cutouts in the rear and it makes the car so quiet on startup and the cop that lives across the street will be able to sleep in. The great part is you can close it just a little or a lot. I have a wired switch so you can control it from the console and not that 1950`s radio knob. Cop pulls up and 3 sec. later your quiet as a mouse. Its all pre-wired from badlanz on Ebay. $225.00 and very good quality. I was thinking H pipe all the way to get rid of the resonator which could be holding me down on power. Oh and you get a 5 year warranty too.

Not a bad option. I looked at those as well.

I've since sold my Roush axle back, but they are still working for the new owner as well.
sorry to bug you with this but I was actually researching this this past weekend. Do you have the info on the cutout. The eBay listings are no longer valid. Thanks.

Dude I would buy the Badlanz. Made in America and 5 year warranty. Easy to install.
