Yea I’d say that pretty fair guess. Appreciate it.
No problem. I haven't quite figured out why Mustang times are slower than similar ET/trapping GTRs - if it is as simple as RWD vs AWD - but as a comparison - on an earlier build running 9.3-9.5 at 153-158 MPH (so a fairly legit MPH difference) - I hit 3.89 60-130 (it is still listed on multiple forum sites on the internet) - and averaged low 4's. With my pump settings on that similar performing build to yours - running high 9's at mid 140's - I was still high 4's low to mid 5's. SO I don't know why it is still quicker...

The hp/tq curve plays a roll but gearing is big as well. My 10r80 car with the out of the box vortech beefcake special went 5.06 60 to 130, not even on full e85. It would take a good bit more to do that in a 6r80 car.

Excellent point! I have a 10R80 as well - so I am hoping my 60-130 times will reflect your point. I have my Dragy ready to go and will report back with a thread - once my car is ready lol...

Not too worried about 60-130 as that’s not what I do with the car. If one day I start getting crap at the track for roll cage and parachute then yea I might aim for more street stuff. For the 6r80 the 3.15 might be best for that. I shift into 3rd soon after starting the pull at 72 then shift to 4th at 107. With a 3.15 I might be able to 2nd and 3rd only. but 3.55 is best for the track for me. Til then I’m not worried, that metric means little to me. Also Florida isn’t very forgiving for weather.

UPDATE:

road was in process of drying up from some rain last night and there was a little traffic. 1st run with stock Procharger inlet either because I was hesitant with the road or because I was looking around I was a little slow on the throttle and ran 6.03. I drove a little further away from traffic and cleaned tires off with a little 1st gear burnout and proceeded to making sure I got a good hit, I hit it around 50 which was a little earlier than I wanted and resulted in 5.95. Below is a snap of the log.

conclusion: the stock inlet is good, specially at stock pulley/small blower setups....but the mak inlet seems better with more room to grow with bigger blower or higher boost. One thing appears certain....both outflow a turbo guard, even the most open guard available, if you get one with more tight netting you’re gonna choke the blower even more.

Weather also seemed better on the draggy today BUT my car was reading the same as last week at 82-83* and air density online confirmed it was a little better than last weeks but not much with DA being very comparable.

Would love for someone else to back these results, specially on say a Paxton/Vortech car. Since their inlets seem to be more restrictive than the offerings for Procharger.

I just put in the stock Procharger inlet. The space between the inlet and the radiator nipple is the same between the stock inlet and this new mak inlet.
Are you saying that the new version should fit even with a thicker radiator? If so, I'd happily buy one. I just don't want to drop $300+ again only to discover it still doesn't fit. I fear that the radiator nipple will put too much of a dent in the flexible elbow which would risk causing a collapse. Pic attached of my stock Procharger elbow next to the radiator nipple.

I talked to MAK late last week. I was told by tech, the new MAK Hurricane will fit with larger 2.25" thick radiator with no issue.
