I read recently that if the computer module goes bad in a GT 500 that is over ten years old, Ford no longer offers this part. Is this true? If so, are there other sources or will I have a great car to look at but not drive?

Do a search for automotive electronics refurbishing.
There are companies that repair equipment like that or swap for repaired units.

Not really...
I did some research on the internet companies. One of the "BIG" ones get terrible reviews. Most people are saying try to find a module on e-bay.
