Magnaflow tru x cracked

So after bottoming out my mustang about a week ago I kept hearing a rattle under the car. Turns out I dented in the resonated x and cracked it down the center. Any chance magnaflow would still warranty this? I’ve bottomed out the stuck mid pipe plenty of times and never cracked it.

Um, no. Warranty is for manufacturer defects, not abuse. If they replace(not warranty) it, its out of kindness.

Posts like this crack me up because honestly you could have had an answer from magnaflow before you could have posted a thread to get an "opinion" from some random forum users whom have no bearing on the outcome of the situation.

I spoke to magnaflow and they said I have to go through cj pony because magnaflow doesn’t even make this product on their website

It was asked because I wasn’t sure if there warranty would cover a muffler that cracked after bottoming out on a speed bump. It’s unusual for a muffler to crack down the case

Mufflers are not bump stops.
Put your big boy shoes on and don't expect a company to pick up something you damaged.

It’s not that I’m expecting them to. Just curious if they do cover it. I couldn’t get in touch with cj. Was on hold for hours. Looking to see if it’s worth trying again. I have another x pipe on the car. I’m a registered nurse in a major NY hospital, I have the money to buy another. Thanks though. I’ll keep wearing them big boy scrubs and saving lives.

My stock resonator did crack at one of the entrance pipes when I bottomed out once, replaced my whole catback with MBRP 3"

You could just get that crack welded.. thats what I would suggest.

Car looks good. Shit happens though. Don't take the shit the other members are throwing at you personally, because at the end of the day this issue really is between you and Magnaflow. It's not like it hurts to ask, but I think you know they'll say no which is why you're here. Also FYI you'll never get through to CJPP, their quality has gone straight down the shitter with Covid. You'd be better off getting a horse to learn algebra.

My personal opinion is that the Tru-X has shitty tone anyway and quiets everything behind it way too much. Good excuse to do something else.
