I’m running the Baer rotors with powerstop pads. Ditch the stock pads ASAP cause those things throw so much dust. Love the rotors. Works great and look great. No complaints here. I’d hold off for Blk friday deals for the rotors. I put a coat of Adam’s graphene ceramic on the hats to try n keep em looking new. Holding up excellent. (Yes I know the rears aren’t brembo but whatever. Lol)

Nice weight reduction cumbersome PFC purchasing...
PFC is not necessarily lighter compared to other 2-piece discs as the weight saving is due to the AL brake hat (bell), but no other company produces ferrous discs with their attention to detail concerning the material or the machining processes.

Im happy with my baer eradispeed+ 2 piece drilled and slotted, no problems but I dont do road course type racing. I have about 25-30k miles on them.
They'll last fine on the street. You'll probably wear the hats out before the discs if you keep to the streets. On track is a different matter.

Baer has slotted without holes on their website, but it seems like everytime I see the product advertised, they are cross-drilled. I'm with you, though, cross-drilling only helps the one selling the discs, not the one using them.
I got slotted Baer rotors through Lethal Performance - they did come slotted (and not drilled) which I was little worried about.

Slotted is perfectly fine and completely normal. It doesn't lead to cracking and does help keep the pads clean while allowing them to out-gas when new. The slots will probably increase pad wear somewhat, but it's a worthwhile trade.

Reviving this thread... checking in to see if anyone can report on owning a set and if the weight savings per wheel is noticeable and if it's worth the cost. I don't track the car but would like it to feel a little more agile on the street.

I have PFC rotors front and back. Answers to your questions, simple
1. Feel the difference in weight. NO
2. Worth the cost for street use. NO

If you're just talking about street use, then just stick with stock, perfectly fine rotors. PFC has a nice rotor change system, those folks running two piece rotors with all those little bobbins and nuts, those are a huge nuisance to change, in terms of time and all the little pieces. Some manufacturers want you to change all the hardware too with each rotor change as well.

Great thread. What’s the preferred pads for slotted rotors? Steeda seems to prefer Hawk. I’m looking for something for a street car that has solid performance but makes less dust. The factory pads make a mess in no time.

Thank you gentlemen. Z26 ordered from rockauto. $157 for both ends delivered. I’ll save the cost in wheel cleaner alone in 1 summer driving season!
