I think I'm one of the few, but I HATE how 5.0's sound. I tried everything to make one sound good, X, H, Mufflers, Combos of that, and all ended with rasp. I've stuck with my Factory exhaust as its the least raspy option
I hate rasp too. Experimented with all kinds of combos on my 2018 and ended up with LTH Scorpion axle backs with the stock resonator and loved it.

Yep the wiring issue is real, look at this photo, 186 miles on my M1HP

Same here. I had a steeda x pipe installed and my wire is cut through after only a few hundred miles. I’m gonna order the one you got and replace it myself because the dealership was gonna charge me $800 to fix it

If you HAVE to put something on, a Double H
I wouldn’t go as far as you but it’s definitely not the best sounding mustang ever. For me you can’t beat the 2v/4v cars of the early 2000’s

For sure. My 1997 and 2003 Cobras sounded awesome.

I do think our cars still sound better than Corvettes or Camaros. Challengers sound good though.

Thinking of going with the Magnaflow resonated x pipe if I go the headers route. Seems to be really good.

It's good if you enjoy feeling like bananas are stuffed into your tailpipes. It was my least favorite exhaust mod on the 2018. Installed it, took a test drive, and immediately took it right back off and sold it. BUT I didn't have headers so for that application it may actually be good.

Yeah, many people delete the resonator then put on headers and realize how brutal and raspy it is. If I go catless, I'll definitely want the resonator.

all other msutangs sound amazing.......except modern 5.0's
It is harder to make the Coyote's sound good. I think I nailed it in my 2014 S197, Ford Performance Sport axel back. No rasp, a deeper sound, increased volume without it being harsh, nice mellow but louder note than stock. No rasp no drone.

driving clips from LMR sound pretty real world, its just deeper to the ear than the camera.

It was a sweet exhaust, I prefer the sound of my old car to the M1. The note is very different. I'm not saying the M1 is bad, not saying that at all, but it is quite different from S197s. I think M1 is a lot better than stock S197 GTs.

I have been tempted to get an H pipe, more low end torque is always welcome, I'm just worried it will be too harsh at WOT, or will rasp or drone, I have low tolerance for that. I'm also not very fond of popping exhaust, I'm probably in the minority there.

Well after listening to a bunch of sound clips I ended up ordering a Ford Performance X-pipe. Preferred the H on my 2018 non-AE but the X sounded good on Steeda's video comparing the two on the Mach. The tie-breaker was the Steeda dyno of the 2021 GT that actually showed both more torque and HP from the X (although a very minimal increase). So we'll see what happens, fully prepared to take it right back off if it's too loud or raspy.
