For sure, Mach1 is a better daily driver and the Coyote 5.0 have better reliability.
Everything else is debatable, IMO.

I was think about trading my 2019 Shelby GT350 for Mach1, but decided not to after reading about it. If anything, I might trade it in for a C7 Z06.....

I was told at dealer today that the M1 tremec is better than the gt350 tremec. ??
I am way more conmfortable with the M1 engine as far as longevity .

🍿Annnd there off! ………Most dealers don’t even know what a Mach 1 is. All they care about is how much it’s worth and if you’re going to sell it to them. (Sales depts.)

I was in service talking to an advisor that owns a GT500.

The Mach 1 was going to cost nearly the same so I went with the Shelby.
Someone popped her cherry before you though, right? You got lucky, 2020 is still pretty new. Here in Europe the imported GT350 cost around 100k, 20k more than Mach 1, and with no official warranty etc, so it was clear case to me. And I agree with others that I like the deeper Coyote tone more than raspy Voodoo.

LOL, and he reported a lot of issues when delivered new(gt500). He was a nice guy. I don t post anything serious in this type of thread just to be clear. It was also interesting that two techs came out and looked at car closely while I was talking to advisor.

C7 Z06 would not be a bad choice. That LT4 is one badass motor.

Meh…

I pulled up to Palmetto Ford here in Charleston one day to look at their new Black M1. I was driving my Heritage R.

there were two salesman sitting by it, a dude and a chick, and dude says, “You ready to trade up?.. this thing is way faster than that one.”

What do you say to stupidity like that?…… I just looked and walked on. Crazy.

Bought it brand new. It was a late arrival. Didn't show up until April of 2021.

I actually love the rasp of the VooDoo… I removed the resonators at just one week of ownership to make it a little more raspier and burble-ier.

A huge decision to get the Shelby was the exhaust note.

This video was a huge influence on my decision:

I’m glad we all have different opinions, otherwise we would all be driving Performance Blue Shelbys with White stripes. And boy would we be a good looking bunch…!!!

I don’t own either a Mach 1 or a 350 so I don’t have a pony in this fight (buh dum shh 😂). To me they’re both fantastic cars but if I were forced to choose one over the other, I gotta go with the Shelby just for the heritage aspect and the sweet sound of that Voodoo. And that salesperson clearly has no clue what you drove up in, tell him to go kick rocks.
