Get ready, you guys with recent orders, I've had 11 (yes 11) of these emails with date push-backs since ordering...
I haven’t received anything since my initial 20sep build week email, guess I’m still sitting at that date? Been a couple weeks

Tire Rack is for the first time in a long time showing Cup 2's in handling package sizes as being in stock... up till last week it kept showing the rears on backorder till mid August. Wonder if any of our orders will shake loose now if Ford can get some of these in (if that was indeed the reason for the delay on our builds).

However, Tire Rack also shows a "Track Connect" version of the Cup 2 that does NOT have the rears in stock, wonder what the difference is.

I wonder if things are getting worse. You would think the closer you get to your "build date" the less likely there should be a change.
My order March 8, last update was end of August build.
Received this email yesterday (had so many of these emails it's just tiring)

We have made an adjustment to the production date for your 2021 Mustang Mach 1.

Your vehicle is now scheduled to be built the week of September 13, 2021. We will continue to keep you informed regarding your vehicle's production status.

Thank you.

Totally feel your pain… I’m March and Sept also.

If you click on the description for the track connect version it gives details which include the use of telemetry to monitor tire temperature.

I posed this question in another thread…

The delays for 700A Handling Pack cars with the standard seats just doesn’t make sense. If Ford can build 600A’s with the Handling Pack, and 700A’s without it, then why can’t they combine things to make 700A Handling Pack cars?

Latest update is week of Nov 1 for my HP car. It will be interesting to see if that happens (was already planning to have Zach swap out for the other tires and keep the Cup 2s for a dedicated track wheel in the future)

When i ordered my GT500, the ford district rep told me handling Pack pack parts are so back ordered, she’d advise against getting it. So i saved 3k lol

Redbarn, just read about your delay.... it sure has been tough with the shortages and shut downs at Flat Rock.... and all over Ford country for that matter.... Bought my 2020 PP2 from an Omaha dealership last November. Being here in CT I had my transporter people bring it to me. I know and I hope I will get to meet you sometime somewhere in the months ahead. Be patient and good luck!

DaveR.PP2,
I ordered it from Granger and was hoping I could fly out and drive it back but may have to get it transported. I just don't trust that the weather will hold up drive 1200 miles in late Oct/Nov.
Maybe we'll see each other around.

Mike,

Yes, it's indeed a long trip weather dependent that time of year.

I wish you well, I'm happy for you and I'm sure you'll be very glad to take delivery of what will be one fantastic ride! :like:
