I was out with a Shelby club not long ago and ended up following a black Shelby around the track for awhile. It was pretty well matched. I think he was ever so slightly faster on the straights, but I was beating him in the corners. I could get on the throttle earlier and was out braking him. Eventually I got the point by. No idea what he was running. I went to talk to him after the session and he drove off as I was walking up. Mine was on PSS and only mod was camber plates since M4s aren't adjustable from the factory.

The people driving tend to be the biggest variable at an event like that. I whipped by a C7 Z06 several times during my last track outing with my stock-tired, non-R GT350. Pretty sure the Z06 has the potential to turn faster laps.

I haven't been keeping track though, do you have the latest M4 with the big buck teeth? I wouldn't be surprised if in the hands of a pro it is faster than the GT350.

in my humble experience, yes…very evenly matched.

ran with a white one not long ago in northern Mexico, and after 4 or 5 sprints up to “do not pass go” speeds, we realized it was literally down to who got the jump.

if I jumped he could never reel me in, and vice versa.

***your mileage may vary, shake well before using and do not leave in direct sunlight***

EDIT… lol @ big buck teeth 😂

Oh no doubt, especially in the lower run groups. I have a f82, which is the previous gen. They should be pretty well matched cars on similar tires anyways. Close enough that driver and track will decide outside of pros. I only picked this one because it was well matched and I was following him a few laps. There was a Shelby Cobra that was significantly faster, and a viper I saw one lap that was destroying everyone.
