Gold foil reminds me of the Apollo moon lander, you going to space in that thing!

Yep, Installed new x-pipe (fits perfectly) and gold foil that reflects 85% of radiant heat.

How did you get the good foil to stick - is it adhesive backed? Is it also weather proof (vehicle specific use)?

What's your thoughts after the X was installed - like it?

I've got mine sitting in the garage, just need the car to show up!
How did the install go, any tips/tricks you would recommend?
Are you going to post some sound videos?šŸ˜Ž

Ok marking the length of the x-pipe, is obviously super important and you either need two people because holding it yourself doesnā€™t work.

I used my transmission lift, and just pressed it against the resonator to hold it still. I loosened the front clamps to just see the gap in front which was very small. So I left a small gap (1/16in) at the rear mark point. Once market, I wrapped the exhaust pipe with electrical tape about 1/2 around as a cutting guide. I loosened the front clamp but did not remove it.

Then just cut it. By the way about 1/4 cup of water (moisture) came out of the pipes.

Havenā€™t started it yet, still working on other mods.

Are the two back clamps touching? Will they under hard acceleration, bumps in road?

The first photo shows they're not touching, the 3rd makes it look close. Regardless, don't believe they will move at that point due to the x and the s-symbol weld. Yep I saw that and will keep an eye on it, good catch.

How many feet of the foil did you use?

Is the foil on the gas tank? Am I seeing that correctly?
Is there a need to keep heat away from the gas tank?

Reducing heat on the diff has been well recorded but I've never heard of an issue regarding heat and the gas tank.

Looks good :like:

Please donā€™t take this as me being awkward - itā€™s just an observation :like:

Looking at your third photo, it looks like the left hand pipe clamp is positioned with only 1/4 of its length grabbing the tail section (right side looks to have about 1/3).

Those clamps donā€™t have the best rep for stopping rotation so having them positioned centrally will at least give you a fighting chance (and more clearance between them) :like:
