Adding to this thread, CJ Pony has this kit on Black Friday sale $899.99 with free shipping, I just purchased it to replace my Steeda dual rate springs, plus I’m curious about this VDM tune.

Why are you replacing Steeda springs ? Ford 5300-W are softer than Steeda's (unless that's what you're after).

Because softer does not mean worse handling. I think there can be a misconception that firm=better

Please post your exploits. Very interested in your back to back comparison between these two springs. I was down to debating between these two as well and had been leaning away from the Steeda’s following comments from folks on here I respect that repeatedly stated the Steeda dual rate rears are just waaayyy too stiff for this platform.

I find the Steeda springs bouncy in normal mode, there’s some bounciness too in track mode. I’m guessing the stock Magneride calibration (although it works), doesn’t pair well with this spring, will report back on the Ford kit once installed.

I have had this kit on my 19 for about 7500 mi. Very happy in the ride quality and handling. Think the ford racing engineers got it right.

Same here, never tried steeda springs, but very happy with FP kit. Very well balanced package both for street and track.

I completed the install this week. This kit works! The VDM software is really the glue here. I drove the car with the hardware installed and no VDM update for a couple of days, mostly to compare to the Steeda springs. Car handled really good, the bounciness was gone and it felt firmer in all modes, the calibration though, that transformed it. Before sport and track felt the same, now there’s a definite difference between the two, track mode is really firm. I’ve yet to re-align it I have an autox next weekend, we’ll see how it does.

So did you use Steeda's kit or the Ford Performance Kit?

For anyone considering this mod. Here is a pic' after a few hundred miles. (For guard gap info, wheels are 20" and tyres are 35 series height.) Best mod' yet. It's a different car, for the better.

Oh, that's interesting! That is the only instance I've seen of one of the "sequentials" matching. I'm not surprised that the other numbers match, there is really only a little bit of overlap in the transition from 2017 to 2018 when MR became available on non-Shelby cars. All 2016, 2017, and some 2018 Shelby's had VDM's that started with FR3V and ended with DZZBA. The normal '18 cars like mine started with JR3C and ended with GBRPC. 2019 = KR3C; 2020 = LR3V. That one 19W213 is the only one I've seen like that.

For reference, here's the list I have from the end of 2017 through 2020. All these have been found on ePay except for my personal EBPP+MR and the one or two others noted in this thread.

I've had my Bullitt just over a year. I've had the FP magneride handling pack for about a week. I should have done this a year ago. Easily daily driven - not jarring. Have to be careful about front curbs when parking but completely worth it. Feels and handles much more like a sports car now. Very satisfied. Apex wheels, and new Steeda rotors on the way. Can't wait for it to all come together.
