it has an engine!

Here is a peek at some new stuff coming from Lund Racing. This video demonstrates Lund Racing PPC (Progressive Power Control) It's great to see all the built up Mustangs on the internet go crazy fast with all the right parts, but sometimes you just want to beat on your fast car when it's not really setup for it, especially the tires. What 700 rwhp car can you floor in 1st gear and still have fun? Solving that problem has been the goal of this project. It uses a combination of torque control and retuned traction control. In this video, first watch the boost gauge. 1st gear has almost no boost, 2nd gear a little more, and 3rd even more. Even in 3rd gear the car is still not at full power, but at the edge of traction. At the top, you can also see a graph of rear wheel speed vs front wheel speed. When the light goes off, that indicates tire spin. This is on the stock tires, but will also be useful on drag radials. We are currently looking for a few 2015 Mustang GT Whipple cars with manual transmissions as beta testers.

That would be an awesome option for those of us who don't want to run around on drag radials all the time.

I'm assuming this is only for the Manual Trabsmission cars?

sweet! I would love this in 1st/2nd

3rd-6th....full steam ahead!

What would be even cooler is something like a tephra mod (evo x tuning terminology) where you can program a switch on the car (cruise etc..) to change maps or disable enable this BBG

Can this be used without being boosted? I have issues with the 1-2 or 2-3 and getting completely sideways on the p-zeros. For the last 2 months I've only gone about 60% throttle and is still an issue for me. Driver mod is needed, but this looks like something I would be seriously interested in while I build up the skill. The current TCS that is in place just isn't quick enough to the draw. By the time it kicks in you're already into a wall.

So the manual transmission has a sensor that tells the computer what gear it's in?

That is very interesting concept making limited amount of torque to the wheels instead of cutting power regain and cutting again like traditional traction control.
I would imagine very easy with automatics.

Ken used this technology early on with our 2013 GT500 which ended up winning the 2013 King of the Street Competition.

Always Innovating!! Lund Racing FTW!!!
