It's in the works, but if you have an X4 you're SOL, you're going to have to pony up the cash for the Ngauge tuner Lund is selling now. It's "exclusive to the Ngauge for protection" aka trying to sell more units.
it has 0 to do with selling more units...

lund can sell x4s, and lund can sell n gauges

the majority of their sales comes from their dealer networks, which they don't have anything to do with the sales of those gauges.

I thought he was selling the N-Gauge for his protection of intellectual property. Following that logic, that means he will not be using the X4 anymore since it's not secure. If he chooses to continue delivering tunes with the X4, the whole argument of protection of intellectual property is a pile of lies.

Not really. It could be any 'new' innovations may only see their way to the nguage to avoid the competition ripping it off.

The reality is there are all kinds of 2015 lund tunes already out there on the SCT. Choosing to stop using the sct for these 'standard' tunes would be pointless (from an intellectual property theft pov) at this point.

Complaining about the X4 makes no sense. You chose to be an early adopter and the N-gauge has been rumored to be coming for, what, 6-8 months now?

The issue is security. This is how the ghost cam tune got out in the S197 through the X3. The X4 isn't secure while the N-gauge is. They arent going to put it on an X4 so that it can be stolen again. Your X4 is still perfectly good to tune the car otherwise.

BTW I still think Lund needs to get some better IP lawyers on the issue. You can protect a tune just like music through copyrighting; it's a unique work that would receive protection.
