I bought a used 2018 GT 10R80 with LT catless headers. Any way to identify what brand or model headers on my car? I want to buy catted but need to know the brand. They look like Kooks based on the headers collector 2 bolt flange.

Kooks will typically have a metal tag welded on one of the primaries that you can see from the engine bay. Can you post some pics?

Stainless works does too. They have a large tag with SW on it. If there is any tag, it will more than likely be on the drivers side, you can't see the passenger side primaries from the top.

For the OP, I doubt cali will let you get away with just adding cats, they may make you replace the entire setup and go back to stock. Did you buy it from a private party or out of state?

He doesn't need to smog the car until 2025

Doesn't CA require a smog test when there is a change of ownership?

Pictures would help.
Kooks 4-1 collector is canted down a bit and not perfectly parallel with the ground. Most all others 4-1 collector are near perfectly horizontal running parallel with the ground.

Pypes
The primary layout, crappy tube butt welds along with the 4-1 collector arrangement and low grade stainless steel corrosion are a dead giveaway.

Thanks that was fast. They'll do for now. Now I just need to find a set of used catted midpipes.
