I'm in the middle of the install on the front strut. Can't get those two bolts out. I've tapped, I have hammered and I banged. Is there an easier way? They ain't budging.

I put a couple hours just on this step as well. I had go buy a sledge hammer to wack them out.

The other step that go me was later on once strut assembly out, removing the top strut mount nut. I found a really easy solve for this, a small 1/4 socket, with a 1/4 extension nested in a 1/2 socket for the outside nut (the outside socket having aplace to grip with wrench)

Appreciate it. The strut itself is easy. Just these bolts.

try putting a jack under the strut to to take some of the load off the bolts.

The first time these bolts come out it is like breaking in a virgin. LOL. Work work work. I banged so hard and for so long.........LOL. A 4lb. baby sledge hammer is a must.

Putting both nuts on the end of one bolt made a difference for me. The bolts hammered out much easier when I did this.

I had the same issue , took me about two hours to get just the drivers side bolts out. Ended up using a lubricating spray and they came out in about 5 min.

I appreciate all the support. I finally got it out. Needed a bigger hammer.

For anyone else who reads this thread. I eventually turned the wheel so the end I needed to band was facing out a bit. I was able to get much better leverage when whacking the bolts. could even stand while doing it :).
whack - whack - whack ---houston we got movement lol

So I needed to use a 20 oz hammer and by turning the wheel was able to get the angle I needed. I wish I had a sledge hammer, and tried to buy one but Walmart was sold out. I will say, get an impact gun. I caught a cramp in my forearm trying to do this install.

Air chisel with with a round tip pushes them out.

Make sure you have new bolts. They are supposed to be one time use anyway.
