Did some "decorating" downstairs in my basement office. Put up a poster that I acquired from a Mustang Rally last summer. The Route 66 painting was done by my daughter Leah...

Finally completed most of the Garage organizing, along with additional slatwall and accessory items. We moved in 2 years ago and I still had stuff in boxes and not very well organized.
Replaced the main garage door opener and put in a direct drive unit for the third stall as my Heater location prohibited installing a traditional ceiling mount unit.
Also had a ceiling fan installed which will provide air flow during the summer and also helps to dry up moisture from snow and ice in the winter.
Will be looking for additional "bling" items for the wall, as it need some Neon. I will also be installing Swiss Trax flooring this spring. Going to go with a blue/gray/black color scheme to match the shelby and add some needed pop/color with all of the gray slatwall...

How are you liking that slatwall product? Gimmicky? I've never really tried it. Garage looks great.

Thanks...
My Previous garages were exposed studs. This is the first house i've been in that actually had drywall and plaster in the garage. I can't tell you how many times i've rearranged the hooks and mounting brackets in my old garages.
I decided early on not to wrestle with stud finders and holes in the plaster.
The slat wall has been incredible. I can move any hook, basket, shelf to whatever location I want and everything stays off the floor. The bike and large item mounts hold a ton of weight, never had an issue with something not feeling secure. The beauty of it is getting the panels on the complete wall. I bought a gladiator system for the basement and that is just a slim line piece that would have to be remounted to move anything a significant distance. This stuff is very easy to install and comes with a ton of difference accessory options.....It's a legit system.

Love it!

Looking forward to seeing what you decide to do with the flooring.

I went out on the Swiss Trax website and was having some struggles with the design app. I finally decided to pick up the phone and call Swiss Trax directly. The guy was super helpful and is going to send out a bunch of color samples so I can actually see the difference in the colors... Some of them almost look two-tone, so having actual samples will help alot!

I had trouble using the Swisstrax design tool as well, its not very user friendly. The company that retails these in Australia recommends booking a phone consult to discuss what you want. Once submitting my measurements, they draw it up, calculate the number of tiles required and email it through. From there, I gave the ok, paid for them and had them delivered.

The design of these tiles can alter the optics for each color, so getting some samples is worthwhile, especially if you are going for a more elaborate color scheme.

Thanks... Glad to know I was not alone. I work in IT and that design tool was confusing....
I ended up calling them and having a consult. They emailed me 3 designs that I had been thinking about and calculated the number of tiles. I now have the math done, just need to decide on design and color scheme....

I purchased a utility cart about 5 years ago for detailing.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003B800JE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's been "ok" but really felt like i needed some upgrades and additional spaces for rags, tools, etc.
Watched several videos on the Griots Garage Ultimate Detailing Cart and was almost ready to pull the trigger. The thing that gave me pause was the top shelf of the cart; I did a bit of additional research and found out that the top shelf has no depth to it at all- you have to install/purchase the red add-on unit which provides spaces for detailing bottles, brushes, etc. I was not impressed with it and personally felt like it wasted some valuable space and restricted what you could put in there. It was also taller and a bit wider and I did not want to take up more space or bigger foot print.
I watched a video review by Auto Fanatic on the Griot's cart and got a really close look at all that is included. I decided to purchase the baskets separately and also pickup the tool bar holder and spray bottle holders that are mentioned in the video.
The baskets clipped unto the edge of the cart, but ended up securing them with bolts and wing nuts for extra stability. They can be removed easily for cleaning.
I ended up painting the spray bottle holders gray as the white stood out too much in my opinion. Have not gotten around to reloading the cart with all my supplies as it is winter and not doing much for detailing. May add additional photos come spring
I am including a link to the video below along with pics of my finished cart.

Thanks! I appreciate it.
The Mustang Radio/Blue Tooth Speaker was a gift from my daughter. One of the best "car themed" gifts I've received.
Sound it awesome, works as a bluetooth speaker, or you can even play the radio using the old fashioned rotary dials.
Not sure where she got it, but it is a "Official Ford Licensed" product.

Swiss Trax Flooring Project: Started the process of picking out colors and coming up with a scheme. I think i've narrowed it down to Island Blue, Black, and Slate Gray. Thinking about a black border with slate gray and island blue checkered pattern.
The samples below also include pearl silver, but I think the slate gray is more in line with the slat wall and the gun metal accents on the shelby.

Purchased and assembled a Vyper Industrial Chair for the garage. They are made in the USA right down the road from me in Green Bay Wisconsin. I was fortunate to be able to stop in at their facility for a tour and to try out all of the different models. Decided upon a manual adjust unit with a back rest and tool tray. The manual unit adjusts to 15" which is perfect height for me to detail the wheels. Chair rolls incredibly well, even over swiss trax flooring as they had swiss trax at the main office. Really loving this chair.

I considered Pearl Silver as well. Apparently Slate Grey hides dirt and scuffs better than Pearl Silver.

I love the combination you are going for, the blue tones in with your GT-350 very nicely.

Thanks you have just confirmed my thoughts on this. The pearl silver is in the upper right hand corner of the 4 square I have laid down in the picture. It's just too light.. I love the flat color look of the slate gray and the island blue.
