Rushbrook alluded to the (Incompetent or deliberate?) failure of the S/C issued Control MoTec system to enable ALL the standard (OEM) Engine Management Features of the Production Road Mustang, which are unavailable or non-functional on the Race Car Engine - as they have been "Turned OFF"Looking forward to seeing all the cars on track. Hopefully the parity issues are just hot air. If not, hopefully they look at any potential issues after the 3 round to get a proper read.
That's the older Gen-2 car with the pushrod OHV 5.0 V8.heres another one

I agree totally, the supercars outfit has lost all integrity and I can't be bothered with it anymoreI have no faith in Supercars' ability to actually achieve parity for this series. It's been gamed in T888's favor for well over a decade, and I'm tired of it. Holden doesn't even exist any longer, and instead of allowing Ford to compete at the same level as Chevy, they'd rather risk alienating the only manufacturer still putting money into the sport.
Unless the Fords have good pace and are competitive at the start of the year, I won't watch the season. It's pointless to watch SVG win multiple race weekends just by virtue of having equipment providing better power or aero than what Ford has to work with.

I totally agree about the devolution of what was genuine Production car racing of the Allan Moffat days and even Group C, into what would have been once categorised as "Sports Sedans" - only it is even worse as S/C all have a Common Chassis - including Shocks and Brakes, with all standardised (Socialised) "Control" parts for the rest of the car (excluding the fake Ford/GM Panels), with the possible exception of the engines, although even these are also "Paritised" to ensure Equality between marques, so as not to reflect an any way the comparative performance differences or strengths / weaknesses of the real Production Cars which they are farcically implicitly purported to represent. It's like Political Correctness in Motor Sport "where everyone is Equal".i never missed a race back in old days mainly as we built a lot of the motors racing back then up til late 80.s
i was also racing my own cars back then
now i cant get interested in the new electronic type racing had my first race in 1962 day after my 18th birthday
now i prefer the historics we have a meeting coming up in november where from what i have been told there will be 4 of my old cars running
most of my race cars were built by me from either a new bare shell or a new car
i think now you all use same "chassis"
