VW returned my neighbours car after servicing it, leaving it blocking our road and my driveway until they return from holiday on Sunday

Access to the cul-de-sac is now gained by driving down the path

The garage has probably posted the keys through the customers letterbox, so they might not be able to ?
Yup, exactly what they done. They decided not to return it to where they picked it up (Their garage round the side of the house) because they didn't feel it was safe.

The bit about not putting it in the garage is silly, BUT if leaving it on the road then they have done the right thing.

You shouldnt mount or block the pavement. if they did, they would be liable for any tickets accrued.

Its more a case of blaming the council for making an impossibly narrow street IMO.

I meant for them to park in on their garage driveway not actually in the garage.

What makes it worse there's a school around the corner, so forcing tenants and emergency services to mount the curb is dangerous and irresponsible. I can't believe they had such little common sense to think parking it there was a good idea.

My driveways to the left and has 3 cars parked tightly on, which means the turning cycle is too small to move the cars, luckily they parked it there why'll we were at work. I've phoned 101 and they are trying to get hold of the owners, if they can't they said they'll have to come out, hopefully they'll move it.

Oh shit, now I feel bad for laughing. I thought you just had to drive on the path a bit. Didn't realise you couldn't park!
Not funny

I think the real issue is that VW just paid someone minimum rates to drop off a car. There was no common sense from someone with the IQ of a vole. It all comes down to who VW employ to do the job

Under Scottish law depriving someone of the use of their property is part of the definition of theft ;). I believe someone fought this out in court when wheel clamped.
Really makes you worry when there are idiots going round doing things like this...

In England you can legally park across someones drive so long as there is no car parked on it. Apparently you can also park on the pavement and on double yellows with no consequence in my local area?:paddle::paddle:
