Lock the trunk?

Is there a way to set a lock on the trunk? It's not very accurate, even standing sort of close to the car seems to allow anyone to use the button in the back to open it. That's fine I guess, as long as you could specify to have the trunk locked and that the button will not work. Seems like a nice way for thief's to take your stuff wait for you to get near your car then open your trunk grab whatever it might be and run.

In my experience, while in the car a person cannot open the trunk from outside. And, the key fob will not open the trunk inside the car either, you have to push the button under the dash. Note: this was while the car was running so it may be different if the car is not running.

Key fob has to be within 3 feet of the button for it to work. this is a non issue.

There's supposedly a trunk physical key lock behind the rearseat. I couldn't find it. Anyone else have any luck?

The convertibles have a key actuated trunk release next to the rear seatback. It is there to allow access to the trunk in the event of a dead battery. The fastbacks have fold-down rear seats, so you can just climb through to grab your jumper cables.

Mines there, outboard lower upper left seat cushion, about 6 in from the bottom, chrome key tumbler.
