Very nice! I've had EB on the mind for a bit, actually. Interesting little engine. And with gas prices rising...

The '18+ Mustang variant reports a gain of 90hp/105tq, which sounds awfully appealing. Would need to do some research though, because...

Impressive!!
As long as everything holds together. Could only imagine the hole in the block that would create.
...As Orange said, that'd be quite the hole, if something goes wrong 😁

You'd still have to run 93. Plus, I'd guarantee fuel mileage would drop. I've never seen it go up with a tune.

Yeah... yeah, that's true. Damn, the things we forget in excitement.

Regardless, that's pretty damn good.

Like with any number of tunes, unless tracking the car, to me the negatives outweigh the positives.

my EB performs so much better and yes does use less fuel after Unleashed Tuning fixed the miserably bad Ford tune. Obviously I'm running 93 instead of 87 sewer water so my spend/month is of course higher than before but MPG went up.

The EBs do have a reputation for producing a good amount of power without spending huge amounts of money.
However, I confess to being concerned about reliability.
My '18 has popped a headgasket just shy of 80k. Completely stock DD run on 93.
I would seriously worry about adding boost and an aggressive tune.
I know many people have tuned them with no issues but I also know that the headgasket issue is bigger than most people think.

Not to knock the EB, had one on my 16.
But...... I have run 3 750 mile round trips on my GT.
Being prudent, Turning on cruise control, and going no more than 12 over the posted speed, have gotten 28 -30 mpg for the trips.
I had a best of 34 on my EB.
Just sayin.......

The 6.2l SS did 31 over similar conditions. The big win for the eb is weight reduction in the nose.

I've also got high 20's MPG on well disciplined cruises in a 5.0. So it can be done. No fun allowed, but its possible.

And I've had a couple different EB's since Ford started offering them. They're fun to drive.
If I'm not mistaken the EB's have forged rods/crank in the lower end. They should be able to handle a little more boost over stock.

Can't go wrong with either mill, IMO

I was under the impression the current Mustang EB have better head gaskets than the 2108 models.

I cross-shopped the EB HPP package before ordering my Mach 1 blind. I fell for the marketing material. The EB HPP felt quicker in normal City traffic.

I hope you're right. But the '18 was supposed correct the issues of earlier years too so...
Anyway, I'm not sure the gasket itself is at fault. It seems like it's more of a headbolt thing. One of the recommendations for improving the situation is to upgrade to stronger head bolts.
