This is what I found interesting in the article. The car sounds great also.

Ford Performance manager Jim Owens told us that engineers are still at work doing final calibration, and that Ford will announce final power figures in the coming weeks.

Definitely sounds good but to me like any other ordinary GT with a good aftermarket exhaust.

I don't know how anyone could listen to this and then think that electric is the future of performance cars.

We're the sheep here and doom looms large. The future has and is being shaped by those that have no problem whatsoever abandoning the internal combustion engine for something more politically correct. Enjoy it while you can.

Pretty loud for a stock exhaust. I wonder how long before the aftermarket has longtubes available? Give it a tiny hint more bass and take it over the magical 800HP mark that some people were wanting?

Sounds a bit too raspy for me but then again it's cold on that video which I find affects sound.

A little raspy but microphones also distort some exhaust notes. I shot videos of my GT500(headers and Borla Ataks) from behind with an iPhone and it sounded like crap....In person it was a favorite of a lot of my buddies and car meet people.
Perhaps the new car would be deeper with an H pipe and/or headers?

Doesn't sound as blatty as a Coyote. I feel like certain frequencies kinda got poked with a stick by a Trinity/Condor exhaust almost.

I wonder if that exhaust will pass California law?

The GT350 and GT350R did. Why wouldn't the GT500? Rhetorical, but I have to ask...

Agree. It sounds OK, but I couldn't pick the GT500 out of a pack of GT's by the exhaust note alone. Where is the supercharger whine?

It'll whine under load, not so much when the car isn't moving.

That is true. I got pulled over in 1998 when I was driving my 67 Mustang with 32" glasspacks. I was let go with an apology. At least with this car, you can switch it over to quiet mode before pulling over to the side of the road. :like:

R&T should know better. if your giving sound bites for comparison...hit the same RPM. in normal/sport it's one level, then in "track" whoa...redline! best exhaust comparisons for purchase is American Muscle. check out there presentation...R&T, and I get your mag. dman
