Who has installed the Redline QuickLift hood struts? How odd does the black brackets look installed? I picked up a can of Dupli-Color EBFM00417 Wimbledon White Ford Perfect Match Automotive Paint and am thinking about rattle canning the brackets. Car is in the shop waiting on parts to finish the adjustable front strut mount install, so haven't seen how well the paint matches.
I don’t mind them black.

So if you haven't already seen it, Matt Farah drives a HEP-R through an amazing canyon and waxes lyrical about how you should buy one:

What's bugging me is - which car IS this? It's LR102 and it has Michigan dealer plates on it. It's done nearly 4000 miles so clearly a car Ford still owns. I've narrowed it down to 2 possible cars - 1785 and 1788. Both have carbon fiber dash, both were being produced in the same week as LR101 and both are known to be Ford cars. The one he's driving has an engine built by Brian K Ledger, same as mine. If anyone has any more info on which car this is, that would be awesome

Good news: winter shoes are on (Alpin PA4s - 295/35/19 all round) and ride great! Shelby rims (CS21) work well with the heritage colors too. Bad news: got too excited and misjudged entry into my annoying garage last night and scraped/dented the non-passenger side

! Ordered touch up paint (to make me feel better but won't be doing it myself) and that dent is going to need a shop

. Self inflicted makes it feel so much worse!

What I'm really worried about is having to replace the side stripes...anyone know how/if you can get them ordered?
I heard a rumor down here in the Tampa area that Joe Raiti's HEP-R got some damage one one of the stripes and has been having a tough time getting some replacements. I would definitely like a set of stripes if I could get them.

Yes they can be ordered. You may not like the price though. Reach out to your parts dept. I recall pricing them out for someone a while ago. I dont recall the price though. If you don't have a parts guy to work with, call white bear lake autonation ford in MN. Their prices are usually about employee pricing.

Sorry about the dent man. That pic got me, though. Those wheels are spot on perfect for this Shelby. I ordered a set of them just like this, along with the Alpin PA4s. Thanks for helping lighten my wallet considerably, lol.

Awesome! Yeah, that's the upside am really happy this wheel/tire combo...also really impressed with the ride quality of the Alpins so far. Although, I haven't really done much spirited driving yet on them.

Update on the cost: around 2K. So it could have been worse. Replacing the decals alone costs around $500 with the rocker replacement decal and installation.
