So it sounds like 650-675 is a good place for stock drivetrain (save 1/2shafts and I don't drag race) were I can run it and not worry too much about blowing it up.
Beefcake - is that 650-675whp?

With that said, I assume I should be fine and safe by putting in a Whipple stage 1 then right? Or would it even be ok (safe) to go to stage 2?

While installing the sc kit, besides replacing the oil pump gears and crankshaft gear, what else should you do while you have her open? Carrying the theme of this thread...what are the other things you should consider while installing a sc (in my case a Whipple)?

Think of a constant surge of extreme force putting you into the back of the seat all the way to 7750 r.p.m.s that never seems to end. Then you shift and it starts all over again.

Repeatable time and time again.

My buddy just lost his rings on his 15' PP D1SC procharger setup on 15psi/E85 800whp 600wtq on a dynojet it lasted for about 2 months at that power.

My car sat comfortably at close to 800whp for a good while. Then I lost a head gasket and started leaking coolant. Everything else in the motor was in good shape and should've held out for longer.

Depends on how you drive it also...

Drive it like a teenager everyday is a lot different then driving it sensible and going to a few track outings or a few street hits.

The HP numbers don't surprise me as much as the RPM people are turning while making the power. I've heard of people making over 900whp at 7800rpm with a blower. I have heard of more busted cylinder walls than thrown rods. There was a stock Boss 302 TT that made 1080whp which is the highest dyno I have heard of on stock motor. Granted getting that down a 1/4 is another story.

I'm hoping to be at 1000rwhp soon. Its very addicting. I was at 700rwhp not long ago and couldn't wait for more. I'm in final stage of my build now (just finishing E85 tune should be about 850rwhp now) and will be bumping boost in next couple days. I also did a 6060 trans swap and the car just pulls and pulls and pulls then ok shift pull moreeeeee. Short shifts of MT82 gone. Things are getting amazing.

This pretty much sums up how it is:

Z06 and I have nearly the same exact build, save I am a 6A non PP with 720RWHP. I can tell you it is insane, truly.... especially after I put some 325/30/19s on the back and I actually have traction.

The OP didn't ask the limit without replacing them. He asked what the feasible limit of a stock engine WITH OPG/CG is.

I can relate to that Andrew going down the highway hitting those triple digits in no time flat! Wow, feels so goof!
