If you are taller than 6 feet you might have an issue with head room in the Corvette. Especially if you want to go to the track and wear a helmet.

I wish they had made the roof panel an option rather than mandatory in the Corvette. I realize rollovers on track are rare, but the Mustang will probably be a lot safer in the event of any accident. And I know the C7 roof panels can click and rattle. Just what I want - spend big money on a car that rattles constantly.
The C6 had roof rattle issues. The C7 not a problem.

Read the article and look at the provided data. ALL of the time gained over the GT350R by the z"L"1 was in the corners. If it were the straights, I would agree. But since it was all in the corners, MT and Randy lost all credibility.
You are incorrect. Look at the race track illustration provided with the article. The GT350R is behind at the beginning due to the long back straight and is about a car length behind after turn 1. After a few turns with no straights, turn 4 to be precise, the GT350R caught back up and was completely even with the ZL1. Turn 5, still even. Straight after turn 6: the ZL1 pulls ahead entering the sweeping turn 8, by the end of turn 9, the GT350R has crept back up and is nearly even again with the ZL1. By the finish line in the straight, the ZL1 is ahead again.

I haven't owned a GM vehicle since the late '90s. The only car that made me want to try another was the C7 GS, even had a dealer price one out.

The C8 Z51 could be the one that finally amazes my old friends, as in "I never thought he would ever buy a Chevy." This thing just pole vaulted to the top of my fill-the-last-garage-stall list, I can't wait to read some road tests. I was practically drooling messing with the configurator earlier, probably a good thing it crashed.

It looks like a knock off of the NSX.

Why is that bad? I mean I don't think that it coppies the NSX at all, but regardless is that a bad thing even if it did?

I think my only appearance criticism of the C8 is I wish the side air scoops were better integrated and were flush to the side of the car (like all other cars with such feature).

Most mid engine cars have the same features of side scoops, gotta cool the engine somehow.

... Speaking of wheels - Corvette should take a page from Ferrari's playbook and work a little harder on wheel style. Classic and good looking above ^^^

I was going to say that GM copied the ones in the picture above. They look close

I agree with the side scoops. They could have integrated them better. They extend onto the door instead of staying on the rear fender like a lambo for example .

So....who’s still paying ADM on a GT500 now after the C8 reveal?

The C8 looks like a supercar. Rumors are the Z06 version will be minimum 700hp with a 10sp DCT as an option. If the price increase on the Z is similar to the base C8, the C8Z will be the supercar performance bargain of the decade....and comparably priced to a optioned out GT500.

That looks very low to the ground. There is supposed to be a suspension lift option like the GT
