After 3 track days: Two 5 session days at Grattan and one at Waterford Hills. Rotating them tonight, the driver front just gets murdered! Have -2.9 degree camber. Still doesn’t look like I’ll get to 5 full track days on front Cup 2s.

Rears still wearing nice and even and slow. 4 days in and still barely see the outside grooves in both. Issue will remain heat cycling, probably around 36-40 sessions it seems per my last set.

Question: now that I have a cracked rear wheel and only 1 spare rear cf wheel, if my rears get heat cycled out would it be possible to throw on my front 305 cup 2 carbon wheels on the rear to finish the day? I know the rear wheels don’t work on front with 315s without spacers, but can the front cf wheels (on R) work on the rear with 305s? 7708CB43-21E2-4AFE-B222-DD5B167A2645.jpeg FF2FA67C-A70F-4F86-9FCE-4C82418892E7.jpeg

Is that the only issue, cosmetic? I don’t want to roll a fender, but just thinking this would be a “get through the rest of the track day if my rears go bad” option, and then I could skip paying for a new rear cf wheel (or buying that new new set and trying to sell individual wheels for $2800).

I’d still bring the single rear wheel with me in case if a flat or something. Otherwise, three wheels fit better in the car than the 4th in the passenger seat which means I can’t see the passenger mirror when driving to the track!

They'll stick out an inch further than the stock rear R wheels. Making them fit without hitting will require some quality time with a Sawzall.

Alright, I’m going to mount the 315’s up front with no spacer On the CF wheels. I need to eat up my 4 2015 year 315 tires faster than I can do on the rear. Really hope no rubbing on strut or fender!

If you install them on the factory 11" ET24 fronts they'll be fine. I have run them on factory 11" GT350 rears with a 35mm spacer (gives ET27 on the front) and they work. 11" ET 24 rims will be even better.

Has anyone used the heat cycle or shaving options from tire rack? Wondering if it is worth it.

Unless you want your tires to heat up earlier in a sprint race, race qualifying or time trial session, then no reason to spend the extra money.

I’m looking for some data points form people who have run both the Oem R Cup 2 305/30/zr19 98y tire and then switched to the Porsche spec 305/30/19 102y Cup 2 Front tires and how much more tire life they got out of them. Is it worth the extra $ for these tires? I only pay $15 to mount at my dealer but it would be nice to get 7 days like I get on oem rears instead of 4 days only regardless what I do with the camber plates. Thanks for the data points

Wow, that is cheap as hell. 4 cup 2 tires replaced at my dealer is $165 OTD.
