From what I was told, next week, but we're waiting on Corsa. Hopefully the test fitment is good and we can move entirely forward. It's been crazy!

We can in the future, yes! They look near identical at the end points... just the middle being the difference.

Say kids, do we have any aspiring or existing acoustic experts here? I ask because my old brain can't understand how there could be much difference in audible sound between X's and H's. Granted, there would be disturbed air on both sides at the H cross and very little on the X and maybe that's the difference in sound, I dunno. Hoping someone here can explain the basic acoustics.

I can’t really give scientific reasons, but to my old ears H pipes sound more old school muscle than X pipes. Modern cars “rasp” more compared to older cars due to modular engines vs pushrod engines, but in my opinion the H rasps less.

This is also very subjective. What I hear will be different than what you hear, etc…

It’s how the exhaust waves travel through the piping. The H is an abrupt change for the exhaust pulse whereas the X is a smoother transition. Without getting all “physics” on you that’s the basic gist.
