So if swapping into another Mustang - there's no penalties at all - just pick new car and they agree to the swap as long as the new car is same MSRP? Or is there still a usage penalty based on miles?
you pay for millage. the formula here is MPRS/100000*mileage at first report of the issue to the dealer. so it is was msrp 40k and you drove 2500 miles before reporting the issue it is

40,000/100000=0.4*2500=$1000.00

Bump from page 7

Remember if you are currently Lemoning your S550 or already have done so via a Ford Buy-Back, please list your VIN.

Here is mine... I started the process around the 15th of December, Ford agreed to buy back on the 23rd of December and I got my check on the 20th of February. Tennessee allows 60 days for completion from time of agreement, and they took it.

I was lucky and did not have to go through any arbitration, Ford agreed to the buy back without hassle. My experience with the BBB was very quick and painless, highly recommend.

2015 Black Mustang convertible GT, automatic. VIN# 1FATP8FF5F5423189
Lemon Lawed for driveline vibration.
Well, this was interesting, at least to me.

Here's BlackGT's lemon law VIN 1FATP8FF5F5423189 2015 GT for sale in Texas as a Ford CPO:
http://www.sabineriverford.com/cert...0e0ae819cfeb62a752862a.htm?searchDepth=29:122

Since the Carfax is free, I checked it as well:
https://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistory/p/Report.cfx?partner=FRD_2&vin=1FATP8FF5F5423189

It does not have branded titled, but rather lists it as a " a manufacturer vehicle Vehicle sold at auction" on 05-03-17. Title was changed on 12-22-16 in TN, which closely matches what BlackGT stated above.

The only potential give-away that this car is BlackGT's lemon law VIN 1FATP8FF5F5423189, is that title to lemon law VIN 1FATP8FF5F5423189 2015 GT (yes, intentional repetition for SEO) again changes on 03-31-17, in Michigan, with "Title or registration issued to manufacturer" at 8,252 miles.

They are definitely selling these buy-back cars ! I know mine went 'dark' for a month or so, went to auction & then turned up in GA on a dealers lot.
CarFax did have the branded title on record tho.

Couldn't find another thread to post to, but wanted to make sure it got on the site somewhere
I submitted my lemon law claim officially with Connecticut department of consumer protection in February. Ford ended up buying it back. I did pretty well in the end, but ended up settling without going to arbitration and this let Ford really dragged it out. If i had stuck it out with the CT Lemon Process and won, it would've been resolved months ago. The DCP was very helpful nonetheless.

VIN: 1FA6P8TH5F5324424 hopefully that will ever come up if someone tried to google it. I'm also going to set a google alert in case it shows up in the classifieds somewhere.

I had a vibration when coasting in gear between 2000 and 2500 rpm with the clutch out. Manual transmission, so while engine braking. Prevalent in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th. Essentially more noticeable in the higher gear. So this vibration is different than the road-speed-dependent vibration that there is a huge thread on.
I believe it's just the flywheel, but Ford just stuck to their vibration checklist and flywheel/transmission wasn't on it. Guess I'll never know.
not sure i'll ever be back in a Ford, but damn sure I'll never be back in one of the CT dealers. Both of the ones nearby pulled some shady stuff on me.

I don't see an issue with reselling them. In some instances, one man's trash is another man's treasure. As far as having to let customer know the history of the vehicle, I'm not sure what the laws are, but buyer beware.

Lemonade

Some people make lemonade with their lemons. Yet some are still soured by the whole process.

Here are two VINs, 2015 GT's. I am not sure where these are.
Was at Orleans Ford in Medina NY, 1FA6P8CF3F5308138
Was at Sneed Ford in Gower Missouri, 1FA6P8CF8F5350790

There are a lot of buybacks I've found over the past 18 months and I guess I should start posting VINs I have come across. I've not purchased any of these but have called the dealers to verify through an OASIS report. Jaw dropping for sure. Here is an example of one I was interested in until I read this example buyback that was at White Bear Lincoln in Minnesota. 2015 GT 1FA6P8CF0F5313491

Holy $@!#!@ You were out of your GT350 for 1/3rd of the year while making payments for that thing. Not to mention it took months for the whole process after talking to the BBB.....

Can someone who has gone through a Ford Buy-Back or Replacement please assist with the below questions?

What is the pros/cons to Ford offering the owner of a bad/unfixable vehicle the choice to choose between a Buy-Back or a Replacement?

Does the owner make out better on one of those choices over the other?

What is to be expected with a Replacement?

What is to be expected with a Buy-Back?

Hard to answer those questions IMO.

Buy back or replace really depends on how each owner feels about the car. For me & based on the huge vibration thread, I felt there was prob. little chance any Mustang would be vibration free + the horrible service from Ford & the dealer through out the saga turned me off to getting another Ford anything.

Hence, my Challenger Hellcat ('stang replacement) and Durango R/T (on order), which would otherwise have been an Explorer.

What to expect process wise depends on your state's LL guidelines more than anything. I outlined mine (in FL) in my long post way back at the top of this thread.
