Leeds / York Mustang Meet on Sunday 19th January - a brunch time meet (11'ish to mid afternoon) at The Motorist Hub, New Lennerton Lane, Sherburn in Elmet LS25 6JE.
This is a relatively new venue and is still in the development stage; even so it is fast becoming a regular meeting place for motoring enthusiasts. At the moment there is not a proper cafe but there is Fanny’s Rest Stop where you can refuel with a bacon buttie and a proper cup of coffee plus cake. At present in the showroom there are - Hillman Avenger Tiger, Ford RS Cosworth, Triumph TR6, Alvis 12/60 Beetleback plus a couple of Aston Martin's plus a number of motorbikes. The garage is usually home to an ex Ford works 1969 Ford Escort which was driven in the 1970 London to Mexico World Cup Rally, I first saw this car at the start of that rally in Wembley Stadium.
Anyone wanting to convoy the last 10 miles to the venue then I'll be at Ferrybridge Services (A1 / M62) WF11 0AF ready for a 10:45 departure.
