I have a 2019 mustang gt A10 base model with 3.55 gears. Only things done to the car are a x-pipe and a E85R tune by lund. Went to the strip 3 times so far first time was on stock tires so it's a bit irrelevant. The second and third time was with MT street ss 275 40 17s in the rears. I have only managed to get a consistent 12.1 at 116-118 mph. 60 ft has been a consistent 1.8. Footbreaking to 1800-2000. Tire pressure has been dropped to 18 cold. (Goes to 20 after burnout) Da has been 1900-2900. Iat at light has been 100 or lower. The et time made no since to me and I was just not sure what I've been doing wrong. Recently someone told me that I shouldn't be racing in sport mode (I only have sport and drive in my car). Everytime I've went to the strip I have been racing in sport. I know lund tunes the car in drive. Just never thought that sport would net me these times. Can anyone give me further insight on this? I definently think I should be in the 11s. Could it really be that simple that I should do a burnout in sport then at the light put it in drive?

You may benefit from higher tire pressure if it’s hooking off the line. Also, just turn off the traction control (hold button 8sec) and run in drive. Get yourself a drop in K&N filter as well.

If the car isn’t breaking the tire loose, add some pressure back, run the car in drive, and lower DA will help a lot. This is my slip in 1200 DA from 1/8 mi track on Friday. Car is e85, x pipe, dumps, and a converter.

Yeah I have a drop in. Could always raise the tire pressure. Also all runs were with traction off.

Weight savings really seems to help. A full interior car with full exhaust, Lund e85 PP car was running 11.66 in the 1/4 while I was about to click off 11.43 so if you can get some weight outta it that will help.

I think there might be a deeper issue. Even with full weight and doing everything right I should be at 11.7 at least.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I usually only press the traction off for like 2 seconds. That could be a issue and I race in sport. I know eight reduction can really help. Trying to keep everything in place though. I should be in the 11s. I'll try holding the traction button for 8 seconds and I'll try it in drive vs sport.

If Lund tune is for D, then race in D instead of S. S helps for burnout to stay in 2nd but D is all you need for the race.

If you are only holding traction control button for 2 seconds, then advance Trac is still on and can hurt your times. Hold button for ~8 seconds and you will see an alert that adv Trac is off.

Try running more air pressure in tires at first. If you can hook at 20-22 psi, there will be less drag down the track than at 18. 18 though is in line with MT recommendations so that should be ok.

Thanks I will be trying 20 cold and I'm going to just unplug the traction all together

Try drag mode. I ran 11.92/118 in Drag mode 100% bone stock, and I weighed 340#. I just aired the P zeros down to 22 psi.

Don't have drag mode. Only drive and sport. Base 3.55 10 speed.

Went to Byron yesterday. Lund E85 tune, STH kit, and DR's I ran consistent 11.74-11.76@120, with 1.82-1.86 60's. This was at 2100 DA. Can't wait for good DA.
