You should be able to foot brake launch in 1st gear at 1750 RPM without pushing thru the lights or spinning your tires.

So no revving just foot brake and once the light turns green go 100% on the gas
That will yield the best 60ft as long as traction is not an issue. Reaction time will be slow in these cars regardless, if you aren't racing heads up it not an issue. As you know reaction time has no effect on ET.

Go when you’re ready. (After green obviously) Green doesn’t start the timer. 6” of rollout through the beam does.

Thought the standard was 1 ft? Has this changed in the past year?

You are correct, it is 1’. Not sure why I was thinking 6”. Oh. 6” from pre stage to stage beam. Duh.

Not sure what tracks your racing at or what type of timing equipment they are using??
I run at national events organized by NMRA and held at NHRA tracks.
The class I run in is a foot brake only class and after I fully stage, I bring my RPM up to 1750 RPM and release my brake (using my left foot), as I go 100% full throttle (with my right foot) on yellow, not green. I then travel 7" to the beam as the light turns green.
By launching in this method, I get zero wheel hoop and zero wheel spin, and have never red lighted.
Reaction time is important. If your able to cut a .100 light and the other guy cuts a .600 light, you just earned a 1/2 second head start.
And in order to get a good 60' foot time, you need to get a smooth quick launch, plus maximum momentum as you cross the beam. Which makes the 1st 7" of acceleration important. Even if you only gain 1 foot pound of acceleration, as you cross the starting line, that single foot pound will multiple all the way past the 60' foot mark and all the way down the tack.
Mean while, the guy who idle launches from the the stage line on green, is history!!

Heads up racing is different than test n tune times. Your et doesn't start til the roll out no matter what. Deep stage for ET. Shallow stage for heads up RT.

Let off the foot brake and go 100% wide open.
I get my best 60 foot and reaction time doing this. I let off the brake and hit the gas on the last yellow.

Loading the converter slows my car down. Don't know why.
