This revision results in MINIMAL Rear Drop! Experienced by me, Exploded_Muffin and others: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...-suspension-no-rear-drop.160213/#post-3546084

Compared with the M-5300-Y:
  1. Right off the bat, the font of the part number on the springs have been updated with ford's latest font
  2. The part number itself has seen some changes:
    1. Front: CM-5310-Y to CM-5310-YB (they might have skipped YA?)
    2. Rear: CM-5560-Y to CM-5560-YA
I don't know if they changed anything in particular. If any shop in the Bay Area wants to dyno these springs, feel free to contact me (before I put them on the car two weeks later).

BTW: Fun fact about the M-5300-W GT350/Magneride lowering springs: The front springs have part number CM-5310-Y which is identical to the M-5300-Y spring! The counter-wounded rear spring part numbers are different though, which is totally expected. So maybe the M-5300-W is really just M-5300-Y adapted to magneride cars? Because the front spring is identical, the rear one won't be that far off, yes?

Part number chart for M-5300-* springs:

M-5300-WM-5300-YM-5300-YA
F SpringsCM-5310-YCM-5310-YCM-5310-YB
RL SpringsCM-5560-WLCM-5560-YCM-5560-YA
RR SpringsCM-5560-WRCM-5560-YCM-5560-YA

I just bought this latest revised set. Any experience how it rides for street use?

I can certainly say that it couples beautifully with ford’s track shocks, which is expected since this is supposed to be a part of the m8a package. The spring rate is high, so it can get harsh over some continuous bumps, but overall, it’s flat and well mannered.

I do want to note that the ride height drop is less than a lot of the aftermarket offerings, especially in the rear.

Yeh, I have the x springs which dopped 1” front, but only 1/4-1/2 of an inch in the rear. I guess these will be similar, just firmer compared to the street x springs. The x springs is only a tad firmer than pp oem springs. The y springs are more in line with gt350 spring rate.

Correct! The rate is actually somewhat higher than the gt350. The front spring was the same as lowering springs for magneride, before the part number change.

Some pictures of my ride height. From the relative position of the body line and the lug nuts, I think the ride height of this new spring is somewhat similar to the mach 1 handling pack. The giant wheel arch gap is because I’m running 275/35/19.

The rear gap looks much more as these springs don’t drop the rear like the front. But overall are you happy with this setup? I have frpp struts and bilstein b6 shocks with x springs, but on the fence about these YA springs.

I absolutely love these tbh. I was running the same ford track shocks with a linear spring set from another vendor, and that was way worse than how the car drives and behaves now.

The rear spring is practically linear springs and a spacer. It maintains the ride height while giving some serious spring rates to match the front. And… OEM quality. The previous spring of mine snapped after a winter…

But again, springs has to pair with shocks. If you go this route, I’d personally also pick up the ford shocks for sub $600 easily. B6 is tuned for stock springs right?

B6 can be paired with basically any spring. I already have the frpp struts. I replaced the ford shocks (frpp) with b6 as they are a tad better.

Hmm I’m not sure about the first sentence, but I think you can still enjoy the high spring rate and adequate ride height!
