A fully loaded 401a comes in around 58k. The price difference between it and a Mach 1 700a non HP is minimal at this point. Of course I assume you're paying MSRP. So drop some of the Mach 1 styling goodies and it's 52 to 55k. Similar to your thoughts of PP2. Maybe it's the way ford wants to upsell you from the MT to a tremec too

Agreed. I would consider a hybrid, never a pure EV. The long 45 minute recharge time to 80% is too great a sacrifice. With a hybrid, refueling is like ICE vehicles, a mere 5 minutes and you never have to plan your trips trying to see where charging stations are. Gas stations are all over the place, even in very rural areas.

My understanding that there are systems large enough today to handle charging EV's as well as provide power for your home. If there aren't there is certainly going to be a need for them in the not to distant future.

That's what nuclear power plants are for, to ensure continuous flow of power despite supposedly no new nuclear plants have been built in the U.S. for 2 decades.

so not a AWD or hybrid comment here but more of an 2024 interior thought/observation....
if you look at the pict below from FA, you notice that we might have to learn Chinese to work the infotainment system too.... that doesnt look like english to me.

Yes that's Chinese. I'm more impressed by the 0.5 deg Centigrade precision in the temperature control. I wouldn't be at all surprised the software is from Chinese-market Mondeo and other recent releases. Of course it'll have various language packs, maybe even an Engrish one.
